Quillan Salkilld wants to fight Paddy Pimblett or Max Holloway on the UFC Sydney card in February

British lightweight contender Quillan Salkilld has thrown his name into the hat for a potential high-profile bout at UFC Sydney in February, expressing a clear preference for facing either Paddy Pimblett or Max Holloway. Salkilld, who has been building his profile in the promotion, views the Sydney event as a prime opportunity to make a significant statement on a major international card.

While Salkilld is a legitimate contender in the lightweight division, a fight with either Pimblett or Holloway would represent a substantial step up in competition and profile. Pimblett, a fellow Brit, has become a major draw for the UFC, known for his exciting fighting style and outspoken personality. Holloway, a former featherweight champion and perennial contender, remains one of the sport's most respected and dangerous strikers, capable of competing at the highest level across multiple divisions. Salkilld's ambition is clear: to test himself against the division's elite and capture the attention of the wider MMA audience.

Securing a bout with either Pimblett or Holloway would instantly elevate Salkilld's standing within the UFC's crowded lightweight landscape. For Pimblett, it could be another opportunity to headline a major card and further cement his status as a star. For Holloway, it would be a chance to showcase his skills against a rising lightweight talent, potentially setting him up for another run at a title or a high-stakes bout in the featherweight division. The UFC often looks to match exciting prospects with established names, especially on international cards, making Salkilld's call-out a strategic move to gain visibility.

Fans will be watching to see if the UFC matchmakers consider Salkilld's ambition and if either Pimblett or Holloway are open to the challenge. A fight between Salkilld and either of these fan favourites would undoubtedly be a major draw for the Sydney event.
